Membership

Choose the backing your practice needs

Our aim is that every member saves or earns at least three times their fee each year, and we show you the numbers in an annual member value report.

Why voluntary, for now

We want you here because you believe in it, not because you paid

SOLO Together was started by a sole practitioner who knows how lonely, and how stretched, running a one-person practice can be. Until 2032, every contribution is voluntary. Here is why, honestly.

Trust comes before money

A network like this only works when people share openly and refer to each other. That trust has to be earned first, and we would rather earn it than charge for it.

We have to prove our value first

We are new. Asking for a fee before we have delivered anything would not feel honest. Let us show you what this community can do, and then decide what it is worth to you.

No one should be priced out

New practices, part-timers, parents returning to work and regional practitioners often need support the most and can afford it the least. Everyone is welcome at the table.

Your knowledge is the real contribution

A shared checklist, a referral, an hour mentoring someone newer, or covering a colleague who is unwell is worth as much as money. Giving what you can, in whatever form, is what keeps this going.

We are not here to make a profit

SOLO Together is a not-for-profit. Our running costs are kept deliberately low, and any money contributed goes back into members, such as events, templates and shared resources.

Open with members

We will share a simple summary of what came in and what was spent with members each year. Before 2032, we will decide together, as members, how the association should be funded from then on.

The suggested amounts below are only a guide for those who want to give. Joining, taking part and being supported cost nothing.

Common questions

Do members share fees or clients?

No. You keep your own practice, clients and income. Referrals happen only with client consent, and any referral fee is disclosed to the client.

Does SOLO Together provide tax or financial services?

No. Members provide services under their own registration, licence and PI cover. The association supports members; it does not act for clients.

Will you tell us what to charge?

Never. Members are competitors under competition law, so fee or price discussions are not allowed anywhere in the association.

Do I have to pay to join?

No. Until 2032 all contributions are voluntary. The tier amounts are a guide to what each level of service costs us to provide, and every contribution helps keep SOLO Together running.
