Studying accounting, tax, bookkeeping or finance? Our members are experienced sole practitioners across Queensland. Register once, tell us what you are looking for, and we will introduce you.
Opportunities
What you can register for
Mentoring
Be paired with a member for a semester. Meet monthly, in person or online, to talk about study, careers and what practice is really like.
Work placements
Placements that count towards your course, arranged through your university's work-integrated learning program.
Paid tax-season work
Paid casual roles helping members during busy periods, such as July to October, under the member's supervision.
Shadow days
Spend half a day with a member to see how a one-person practice runs. Observing only, no work expected.
Student nights
Twice a year we host a student night with short talks and speed mentoring with members. See events.
Networking evenings
Come to our monthly SOLO Connect evenings free of charge, and meet practitioners across every discipline.
Pathway to registration
Supervised work with a registered tax or BAS agent can count as relevant experience towards your own TPB registration later on.
