How we handle your personal information

Last updated 27 October 2026

SOLO Together ("we", "us") respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), which we have chosen to follow.

What we collect

  • Contact details: name, practice name, email, phone, suburb or town.
  • Professional details: profession, TPB, AFSL, authorised representative or credit numbers, team size and PI cover.
  • What you tell us in forms, emails and calls.
  • Basic website data such as pages visited and browser type, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.

We do not ask for tax file numbers or client information through this website. Please do not send them to us.

Why we collect it

  • To assess membership applications and check eligibility.
  • To reply to enquiries and run events.
  • To send newsletters and invitations, only if you have agreed.
  • To run the association, including member directories that members agree to appear in.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We use trusted service providers to run the website and forms: Cloudflare (website hosting) and Formspree (form delivery). These providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it. We share member details with other members only as part of the directory or referral board, and only with consent.

Email marketing

We send marketing emails only to people who have agreed to receive them. Every email identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link, as required by the Spam Act 2003.

Keeping it safe

We store information securely, limit who can see it, and delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@solotogether.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handled your information, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
